site has 500 visitors a day / 6500 page views, how to many money

Hi everyone.

Please help us to make money from a video sharing site. It is similar to youtube and is based on youtube clones which are in market since many months.

The site is adult, so we can not run any G or YPN adverts.
Traffic is 500 ppl per day.
6500 - 7000 page views per day.

We can charge people for bandwidth, but do not want to do it right now and turn them off.

Cost is
$ 220 per month for an unmetered dedicated server on linux
$ 200 per month for a person managing it for around 3 hours everyday.

I am looking for some ideas from members who have optimized such websites already.

Started with Adbrite, but not much of help.

Our short terms goals are to make around $ 400 a month from this website.

You could try adsense but it depends on your niche becouse i have an enterteimment site with similar traffic and it's not making more then 5$/day

Use ADBRITE They allow Adult sites and Pay well. It's actually AVNADS. But you sign up at ADBRITE they own both.
You should also sign up for some Adult Sponsors like ADULTFRIENDFINDER.
There's tons of Adult Sponsors you can use.

 

with 500 visitors a day I would imagine you could make 12-13$ daily rather easily considering the absurd prices a lot of adult affiliate programs pay.

 

i think you can not earn $12-13/daily, but i recommend to signup an adult sponsor, they will pay you for paid registrations.

 

Adult Friend Finder is a popular option but I've personally had bad experiences with it. Struggled to make $0.03 over a week-long period with 400 uniques a day. My site wasn't strictly Adult, rather it had Adult humor but I was still shocked by how bad my "returns" were.

 

Go with adultfriendfinder ppc ...

 

visioninfotech mentioned in the thread that he / she can't use G or YPN. That is Adsense or Yahoo publisher network as his / her site is adult related, which he / she is right.

site traffic is on rise, its a site of a client, and they wanted suggestions from us. we havent done anything adult till now, so were looking for suggestions on this board.

How about buying unique adult content and reselling it? Make it cheap, and go for volume sales.

Get high quality content and separate it into several niches/fetishes that aren't well catered for (don't go too extreme). Brand the films strongly, and then start counting the cash.

 

adultfriendfinder is advertised on almost every third adult web site.... I dont think he can make decent $$ advertising it....

However, their geo-targeted ads work for some sites and do well, I have heard.

 

try various CPA offers this that traffic you should get some decent converts. key is target target target!

 

not much good from adultfriendfinder, but we hope to do something better with AVN ads, they pay around 50 cents per 1000 impressions

 

They are an adult site/ There is no way they will get into adsense with that, or if they add the site to their adsense account, they will probably get banned.

 

adbrite accept adult but i suggest you to go for some good adult affiliates,like iwantu,eroticity,adultfriendfinder.oh yea you could better got for some site like adultchamber.com,cozyfrog,you'll get many paying programs there.

 

cpm/ppc,but yeah,i was kinda surprise it was that high.
you'll make more with AVN then adbrite.i have 2 sites that are exactly the same.one is clean and the other is adult.the adult one gets 1/10 of the traffic,but makes more.
i guess the ads on the adult one are more relevant.

yeah,it's the same company,you share accounts,ect...,but AVN specializes in porn.
