i have tried several times to list my site with DMOZ, i have easily met at least i think, their guidelines for proper submissions.

Anyone else have any better clues or ideas to get listed easier?

First, you should have posted this in the DMOZ forum here. Second, did you look for the answer here, because this gets asked about once a day? Third, the answer is: there is nothing you can do to speed up the review/listing process. Just get over it and move on.

Try a paid listing with DMOZ i heard it speeds things up, just look for a corrupt editor:)

    $chaaaaaaa-ching$

    :p

but seriously, i think there needs to be some sort of automated system check put into place, where it flags 'DMOZ' when submitting a thread(in the title) and if not in the appropriate forum category it would automatically remove that person very promptly from the forums and well as their thread :D

I submitted Linkspub to dmoz like 7 or 8 months ago.

never heard from them, never asked or inquired about my submission either.

I just thought, I will just keep adding features to it and traffic will come naturally. Which it is as now were getting close to 100 visitors a day.

Think you need to offer up about $200 - $300 but in the DMOZ section. It's just a corrupt directory that seems to me to matter less and less but still worth a couple benjamins.

DMOZ is run by volunteers, they'll look at your site whenever they feel like it. Submitting your site several times probably doesn't make the category editor want to review your site for inclusion.
