Office 2003 and 2007 on the same PC?

Yes you can use both at the same time, as i am using Microsoft Office 2010 and Microsoft Office 2003 at the same time on one pc and there were not such issue which were occuring problem for me.

 

Well, rather off-top question, but what for do you need both offices? files saved in office 2003 work o"k with office'10?

 

MS2003 would be obsolete for we are heading towards more advanced tech- MS2007 is an upgrade and there is already MS2010 so we should adopt.

 

be careful to respect the limits of the licences...

Wow... I didn't notice how old this thread was initially... However, there shouldn't be a problem running both. However, and I'm sure it was probably mentioned? = Why would you need to run both via the same machine and/or operating system. Most if not all older files/extensions should be compatible w/ 2007 and open be accessible accordingly.

Surely they can be installed on the same pc, with same operating system, without any issue. I personally using them both version on my personal system with XP Operating system.

i have both open office and microsoft office , they work well too on one PC

 

I have 3 versions in my computer - Office 2003, Office 2007 and Office 2010.

All works fine with them in different program folders.

 

Yes you can easily installed both in same pc. If any problem for installation in same drive.. then simply installed both in different drives in your pc...

 

There are no precautions needed for installing both office xp versions. I have used both in one computer and it was working fine,but its better you should install a converter of old version to latest for saving hard disk space.

I have 2003 and 2007 on the same OS. Upgrade your Operating System to Service Pack 3 and make it 64 bit. It will run.

1 Thing more i want to share with you people is that the file which is made on Office 2007 can not run on 2003 and file 0n 2003 cannot run on 2007 any Help???

 

Running 2007 to read file from 2003 should not be a problem.

To run 2003 and view files from 2007, you will need to make sure that you have saved it for 2003 using file save as choosing the template for 97 - 2003.
