How much money would I be able to make if...

Hi, I was wondering how much money I might be able to make weekly with PPC & affiliate programs if I was to have a website that generated around 3000-5000 unique hits a day, not really looking for an exact number but how much generally might I be looking at per week?

    Thanks.

up to $75 is my guess, of course there are WAY to many factors to give a number (I could be off by $5 or $50 or $500).

If,.... if .... IF !!! You can go with 0$ to 1000$ depending of many factors: quality of traffic, ad placement, niche market, monetize options (adsense, affiliates, CPM banners, link sale etc), ad placement, website design quality and content, your marketing strategy. So, for the info you gaved it is impossible to give you an answer.

    Good luck anyway!

    Hi,

I do not really know anything about working online. I, however, have been researching for the last few months to find a way out for my family and I know that people will not give you answers if you do not provide specific information.

To get the help of those who can help, be more specific. What is your niche? How much would the affiliate commission be for each sale your website generates? Do you have any information about how well the affiliate program generally converts? How much are you planning to spend on PPC and what keywords will you be using?

Again, I know nothing about this. However, providing the above-mentioned information should get the experienced webmasters to help you out.

    Good luck. :)

This would answer your question. But then again, did you say 3000-5000 unique hits a day:eek: I'd say, you could just about anything earn huge $$$ with that stats ;)

It is really impossible to say. Conversion ratios, payouts, traffic quality, etc. all factor in. I've seen sites that you can send 5000 hits to and make $0.00 and others where 5000 uniques a day is worth $1000 or more per week. We all wish it was as cut and dry as x per y = z.

Its not just unique hits but also raw hits that should be part of the equation. Assuming 5 pageviews per unique on average it will give you 25,000 raws which will be a bit under $50 in daily revenue assuming an eCPM of $2 at the very least. With some more exclusive niche....probably up to $100. And if you are getting into something with little barriers to entry then $25 if you are lucky.

That question is like asking how long is a piece of string, there is no way of telling you how much you're likely to make.

It will depend on a lot of factors: What is your site about, how much are you spending on PPC, what are the commisions for your affiliate products like etc.

What you really need to concentrate on is creating a site with great unique content and getting visitors there in the first place.

Where do you live? I want to know where $100 a day is rich. I might move there and buy the place--if it's not a dump. ;)

    The Philippines come to mind.

You are talking about PPC which in the grand scheme of things is one of the lowest paying forms of affiliate marketing ever. Very few sites run PPC ads and make more than they would with something else, very very few.

It really depends and the only way you are going to find out is by actually getting out there, writing up the content, placing affiliate links and optimising them over time. Otherwise it's all hypothetical and no-matter how vivid it is in your head - it still isn't real.

I'm not so sure about that. I run a couple of proxies and I used to have a hostgator banner up which nobody ever bought from after maybe 50,000 unique impressions. Obviously popunders are paying me better. Perhaps its due to 80% of my traffic being non US but still...I get the sense you would need a certain type of web visitor to make PPC pay so badly in comparison.
