Nah, gunner's turf is cacti and sand, he just visits Florida for the Oranges, and shadow prefers the Real Vegas to the little vegas in Mississippi. ;)

I gotta tell you popotalk, I'm losing faith in this Malcom1 guy who bought DMOZ. Maybe he should put it up on geocities until he gets it working right. Or, he could give it back to AOL, this never happened when AOL was in charge.

I dont understand this. Why cant they fix that damn system a little bit faster? I mean if its a hardware issue you just take the old hardware out and replace it by new one, thats it.
Why they didnt make any preparations in case something happens? I mean everbody knows that hardware can fail somehow...

Given the delays I would speculate that it isn't just a simple server fault. No doubt the reasons will emerge in due course...

I agree...having a real-world job in the corporate world I find this downtime amazing, how DMOZ can make claims such as being The Internet Brain and yet have no DR / Business Continuity planning is staggering...

Well that is because they think risk management is for silly people. I would quote but that would breach guidelines. It is the result of appointing people who have no clue as to how to manage projects to the highest management levels and no intention of learning.

    Yes it's still down.

Like the editors says at RZ Submit and Forget.

The Server Technicians are also Volunteers.

    Wait and Forget. :D
