Hello! I'm really sorry if I am in the wrong section. I'm owing a website, which is getting 2000 UVs per day. It's a viral page, that shares content to facebook. The monthly revenue is 0, because I'm using the advertisement spaces to drive traffic to my other sites. How much would be such a site worth? Thanks in advance! Regards
A site is worth whatever someone is prepared to pay for it! As a general rule of thumb it is worth around 3 times its annual income. So if you did want to sell it, you should monatarise it as best as you can for a few months, then you can show prospective buyers your proof of earnings.
3 times annual income?? Maybe for a mature 5+ year old business in a stable market with stable and consistent earnings. I don't think I've ever seen a site round here go for more than 10 months income (most go for less). Sounds like the site is probably worth more to you than anyone else if you are using the ad spots to drive traffic to your other sites. No earnings = very very low value (in this case any way).
Thanks for all your comments! I will try to monetise the website and wait a month or two. I just went crazy as I saw, that this "forgotten" website is getting so much UV
It is a good question. There are many websites to find the worth of website. To my knowledge and for our website, they are not giving right data with this websiteoutlook. It differs a lot from google analytics. MikeSK
As someone said, it's worth whatever somebody is willing to pay for it. If it's a good domain name, the sites history, backlinks etc also help
