yea, they shouldn't give him those pressures. It might kill him at that speed, or killing others while he bumped into other cars.
good point(s), I wonder why they didn't try spike strips and or - don't they have a weapon now that'll fry the electronics in the car???
You've seen one too many movies. The spikes would blow out the tires of everyone on the road, and weapons that fry the electronics are still too expensive.
Not true, California Highway Patrol use those electric weapons (can't remember how they called) and stopped many cars that way. As far as I know in California CHP are not allowed to bump cars on highways but just to followed them without making contact or do any threatening maneuvers, in the end the driver always get stuck somehow on his own, go on city streets where they can use spikes or bump him at low speeds, or just run out of fuel.
