Ok, So if you have adsense running, but want to also monetize from some other program, which one would be the one to go? is it adsense with azoogle, cj or which one? We are talking about two programs on same page..Also, if your site doesnt sell any products or does some sort of reviews or content that deals with technology products, which one would be the one to use? For those of you who have used or are using adsense with another revenue program, what are your experiences, advice, suggestions? Ed
All those affiliate programs you mentioned have different network of advertisers, thus it is impossible to say which one would work for you without knowing your site's niche. If you had a movie site, for example, you would need to sign up with whatever network has advertisers like Netflix or Blockbusters, etc. So which one works? Whichever one has advertisers that advertises products to your audience.
Thanks for the response jackburton, but can any of those be used along adsense in any of the pages of my site? Ed
If you are doing product reviews, Chitika might be a good choice. If you use it in non-contextual mode, you can use it on the same page as AdSense ads. Here is my affiliate link in case you want to sign up: https://chitika.com/mm_overview.php?refid=surflux
MOST of them can be used with Adsense/YPN, but not all. Adsense has said they don't allow Kontera or Vibrant Media (although I've seened both on the same sites and the webmasters have never had problems, so take that for what you will) but the rest are good. Azoogle and CJ for instance are just affiliate networks and not PPC, so they're allowed.
Be careful here, Google doesn't care if ad programs are PPC or not, the determine factor is if the are contextual or not. The AdSense Policies say:
The fact is, most contextual ads are PPC. They say you can't use Vibrant Media with Adsense, but they never, 100% of the time, enforce it as far as I can tell. There is no reason why Adbrite's network ads should impact Adsense ads, as Adbrite isn't contextual, but Adsense refuses to allow it. So you see, following their TOS is fine and well, but to get to the HEART of the matter, you need to add so many other factors BEYOND the fine print. What have they done, what have they said, what are they unwilling to allow, what will they look the other way for, has nothing to do with their official policies.
I wasn't aware that Google had a problem with AdBrite ads being on the same page as AdSense. Where did you find out about that?
It's been discussed ad nauseum for years on end. Adsense always says no to Adbrite, even when you explain that it's not contextual. Will they enforce it? Never heard of them doing so...
Hmmm, thought I saw somewhere in DP forum that Google allows AdBrite but it seems that G is "eradicating" all competition from other PPC publishers. Anyway, not affecting me as I always use PPC for publishers with affiliate advertising as that's one of the best combination for me.
