Yahoo no longer shows Pages and Backlinks Indexed. http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/index.php http://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster
Annoying to say the least. Although seems like I'm in the minority for not supporting the change. Bing Webmaster tools is nothing more than a poor mans version of Google Webmaster.
Pity in my own opinion, but there's always some way to deal with anything consisting of such a huge marketing scale... Guess years proved it already for most webmasters...but still pity...
We need competition in the market place. Do you all want to speak the same language? If that is the case , should of let Hitler win and you all could be speaking German. ROF I am a Google fan also, but like to experiment with other applications. Yahoo was best previously for obtaining back links.
Unless I'm missing something, bing webmaster tools doesn't have the same features as yahoo site explorer, i.e. you cannot type in any domain and find out exactly what backlinks it has(as well as a host of other information with seoquake installed). If this is true, then it's a major loss and any fear you may have about monopolies or hitler is completely irrelevant. Does anyone know of any good alternatives that offer similar functionality?? I use YSE about 20 times a day
arichatz + 100! does anybody know any alternatives to YSE? How to check backlinks now? Yahoo closed the last and the only! option which was used by Yahoo users!
Well I used some of the semoz tools to check backlinks and such for my site, hte tools seem pretty good but for $99 a month i would also have to be providing seo service for people in order for it to be worth it for me. The semoz site explorer is free by the way you just need to sign up
Beating Search Engine like is not that much easy as we folks think. They have superiors that order everything ahead of time literally what we will use in future is put into use by them. So is the rule for competitors of Google.
I had read about these two coming together. I am actually happy because sometimes when you combine the best of two you actually finally get a good product. It will be a good game to watch, not unlike Google+ vying for position against Facebook.
Use opensiteexplorer.com but it aint free. I bet SEOMOZ is raking it in right about now. BTW, Bing blows chunks! To even say Yahoo Site Explorer has been integrated with Bing is false.
$99 per month!!! Has anybody used their free trial and then successfully cancelled without charge? A bit paranoid as they don't accept paypal and that means you need to actually contact them to cancel the subscription.
Yahoo site explorer hasn't been combined with Bing webmaster tools. YSE appears to have simply been withdrawn and the traffic is just being redirected to Bing.
Hmmm, I kind of liked using Yahoo Site Explorer. Hopefully combined, they'll improve their webmaster tools.
