In September, my host banned my account, as I had this and 4 other sites running on a shared host. I was away at the time, so it was several weeks before I could do anything. When I did, I had some trouble moving the database etc, so altogether this site was offline for about 2 months. During this time it lost a lot of visitors and Alexa ranking.

The site is back up now and starting to get the old traffic back.

There is no income, because I never got around to putting any ads on the site.

However, I need to cut back on my sites, so this one needs to go within the next 4 weeks. There is no reserve, so even a $20 bid could win the auction.

One small problem with the site which I want to clarify just now - the email address which confirmation emails are sent from has somehow started sending emails straight to spam boxes, so some confirmation emails are not getting clicked. There are a few possible workarounds for this (use a different email address, or
use a different domain). No big deal, just wanted to make sure people knew about it before they bid.

my server is bottom of the range, and I made the mistake of sticking about 20 sites on it, including a few high traffic ones, and it's crumbling under the strain! I've just tried and it wouldn't load the first few times, but now it seems to be better, although it take a couple of minutes to load!

I've had a couple of questions around this auction by PM, which I thought I might as well post here.

Firstly, the current traffic stats:
Analytics wasn't working properly (possibly because of the slow server), so I've had to turn it off. The only stats I have on the server is one called Webalizer, but it doesn't seem to be accurate, it reckons 1,000 uniques per day, and I know it's not nearly as high as that. I'm thinking maybe Webalizer includes search engine spiders as visitors.

Sorry I can't be any more specific, the only real tool to track the current visitors is monitoring the change in the Alexa ranking.

Secondly, transferring the site:
If the site sells for BIN, I will transfer the site for you and set it up on your cpanel (I would need FTP/cPanel access), if it sells for less than BIN then I'll just send the files and DB, although I will give you detailed instructions to set it up.

I've stated in this thread that I will move it for you, so if I go against that then you can report me to DP staff and get me banned. If you check my current posts, I have another site for sale which is worth more than this one, so it wouldn't be worth my while scamming you even if I was that kind of person, which I'm not.

Payment will be through PayPal as well, so you have the option to file a claim against me, and Paypal would refund your money.

If you've changed your mind then that's okay, but you would need to withdraw your bid if that's the case. If you still want to buy the site, then after payment please send me your Namecheap details so I can move the domain to you (you'll need to sign up if you don't have an account, but it's free), and then PM me your FTP and cPanel details.

You've already placed a $100 bid and ended the auction. The whole point of placing a bid is that you're committing to paying that amount. I've already accepted your $100 bid, so no I won't accept $50. If you're not willing to pay the $100 then please let me know since I'll have to create a new auction.

How many GB is the site? Is there an admin section that placed as code on every page?

 

It seems 39k articles have been posted by admin user and almost all of them were added on August 14th. Did you add them all to your directory database?

 

yes. i also see that Top Author is admin with 39110 post. one more thing, why dont u put adsense on it. i scare this site banned from adsense.

 

The site is 1147MB, so just over 1GB. I'm not sure what you mean about the admin section? The site runs on Wordpress, so there is an admin section. There's also a panel in the sidebar at the right, where users can log in, and once logged in they can submit articles etc through there. That panel appears on every page.If that's not what you meant, please let me know.

The 39K articles were part of a PLR pack which I uploaded, which is why they all show 'admin' as the author. The articles seem to be ranking pretty well and generating decent traffic.

To prove that the site is not banned from Adsense, I've put a small Adsense ad in the footer of the page. I've just checked, and the ad is appearing, so the site definitely isn't banned.

The reason I don't have Adsense on the site - this site is on a VPS I have, but for some reason sites on the VPS don't "like" Google products. Not just this site, all sites which are on the server. I had put Analytics on purely for this auction, but it pretty much stopped the site from loading. Now that I've added a single Adsense ad, the page is taking much longer to load now. This has been the same with all sites on my server, maybe it's something in the settings which is conflicting with the scripts, I don't know. Anyway, I'm giving up the server when the next payment is due, which is why I need to sell this site before then.

someone clicked Buy It Now and then paid, but for some reason their bid didn't register on here. They paid and the site was transferred to them, so I closed the auction and cancelled the other bids in case others bid, and in case anyone else paid.
