    search for related forum using Google. from these forum you can take idea and make a list of categories.then you can select from list.

    You should create categories influenced by discussions on your forum, rather than trying to influence discussion via categories.

    Empty categories don't look too attractive to potential members.

    If you do not know what are the major areas in internet marketing and categorize them , how can you handle the forum? :eek:

    I think do what has been said, view some forums that are the same as your forum niche and take some ideas from them.

    Anyways, my suggestion is:

    1. Email Marketing
    2. Social Media Marketing (SMM)
    3. Affiliate Marketing
    4. Forum Marketing

    Of course we should be careful about spamming. So only related videos would on Social Network Category as we all know that everyone wants to spam on forums so there can be a category for Spamming. All the Spammy threads will be sifted there.
