Googles' Webmaster tool and SEO Powersuite are used for analysing your backlinks & keywords..... Scrapebox, SENuke, Xrumer etc are used to create backlinks, although I would advise against any tool that that spams the crap out of everyone, as webmasters are not stupid and will not accept generic comments such as "nice post, the content is really great, i will bookmark your site right away!!". I have heard about people using Scrapebox to find decent websites for backlinking and then commenting on each one individually with comments that are relevant to the writers content, this seems the way forward to me
I use submiteaze for website and article directory submissions - works very well for link building, especially for targeting niche search terms. I've had more success targeting lots of small niche search terms than I have targeting the popular and difficult to rank keywords.

There are so many seo tools/seo software available in the web, but you can find as per your requirements. by the way we are using google analytic, google webmaster tool (Free) SEO spyglass also fine....

I recommend SEnuke-X (it's a must) and SEO EVO2 (optional) for link building and boost your rank. But you should use them wisely.

If your looking for rush with your work than I personal advise you to do manually cos some time software spam sites and before its appear on search engine its disappear. you must start with some keyword research first than make your your site content is unique and good and your keyword density is 4% to 7% in that content. after that you can start with some seo techniques.
