I am trying to transfer my Domains out of NameCheap. They can not offer me any real tech support, they have no phone numbers, and their tech support people are idiots. It's like trying to deal with monkeys. So I initiated a Transfer with another Registrar. The Registrar needs the Approval Codes which NameCheap refuses to send. So I tried to log on to my account and manually obtain the codes. But I found out they have LOCKED my Account and now they are accusing me of Fraud. What a TERRIBLE company. Will probably end up sueing for control of the Domains I have owned for almost a decade now. You have been warned.
why not email or write them a letter - showing them a copy of your ID that match's the details in the account I hope you get it sorted - lots people use namecheap, I don't!! as I've never really taken to having my high valued domain's with a company called namecheap. good luck.
That typically happens with any registrar if someone filed a chargeback or disputed their payment successfully. Is that what occurred here as well, or what circumstances lead to that? Anyway, I'm sure someone from NameCheap will see this and try to resolve this directly with you. Hope it does work out somehow.
First you need to be in your domain control panel and request your domain name verification number emailed to you. Then a couple of codes are emailed to you. They will need to be entered in your domain control panel as well. Your name must match admin on the account or you will be able to do nothing. I am sure they have help pages and support. If needed, HOSTNHUB (my site) has a link to information explaining how a transfer happens. Other information also. Its worth a read if you want a smooth domain transfer.
Go back to namecheap! Lots of ways to contact them. Even twitter and facebook. Usually there is some hint of fraud for any registrar, not just namecheap, to block off an account. Again, you do not give the history involved.
I agree. I feel as if the OP has not provided the complete details of the story. I have always had great experiences with namecheap.com
Hello Internet Marketing IQ, This is not the first time when you unjustly accuse Namecheap of things which are beyond our control. We already explained you the situation in the support ticket, in our correspondence via PayPal and on other forums: You ordered transfer of 4 domains to Namecheap, three of them were successfully transferred but transfer of the fourth domain failed due to Invalid EPP code, as a result, funds for the failed domain transfer were automatically refunded to your Namecheap account for you to easier re-submit the transfer from your control panel. We offered you to refund that amount to the payment source in case you did not wish to re-submit the failed transfer. However, you initiated "Non-receipt dispute" in PayPal for the whole order while it is technically impossible for us to cancel transfer of three domain names. We were forced to temporarily lock your Namecheap account until this payment issue is solved but as we can see the dispute is still pending. Kind regards, Tatyana, Namecheap.
That's...what I was afraid of. I realize you're angry about this, OP. But if you're truly no longer willing to try working with NameCheap on this, unfortunately this situation is going to persist. You can sue, of course. But that's going to take money and time, and results still aren't guaranteed. Anyway, I wish you well.
Have you tried to contact them via Live chat? One of customer care representative will respond you less than 5 minutes. I haven't faced problems with them so far. But I didn't transfer domains out of them yet.
Looks like all is explained by Namecheap and the issue should be easy to resolve without further ado. I have never used Namecheap but do not see I would be put off by their response on here and they have taken the time to explain themselves Two sides to every story....
