    Today Vindo kambli claimed that 1996 Cricket Worldcup was FIXED, I didn't watch his full interview but heard about it on News.

    What is going on with Cricket these days?

    First Pakistani players got caught in "Spot Fixing" and now Indian Cricket team?

    What are your views about Cricket and honesty in the game?

    No i don't think so it was fixed because indian team was studded with stars like SACHIN TENDULKAR,SOURAV GANGULY and they had loved there cricket more than anything else.
    Nowdays cricket is becoming profession for players but at time it was passion for them.

    I used to work in gambling niche, had many information about fixed games. Matches are fixed usually by the organization itself, like in Korea World Cup 2002, where Korea miraculously won against Portugal, Italy and Spain. That scandal was fixed by organization to get as much money from tickets as possible, because stadiums were crowded by local Koreans. Same scandals are happening in NBA and in tennis. Tennis is the biggest problem, because mob only needs to put a pressure on 1 single human and it's done.

    Matches are fixed also by the players or teams and it usually isn't just a "who will win" fix, but more complicated thing - number of cards (odds: 2.0+), at least 1 red card (odds 3+)... Favorite fix for those criminals is half time / full time bet. If home team leads 1:0 at half time and looses at the end, odds are more than 30. That means 3000% of ROI.

    Those kind of scandals are killing the sport. Scandals that were going on in Italy few years back, when it was all over the newspapers how teams like Milan and Juventus were buying referees... It was tragic, but that kind of stuff is going on on weekly basis in countries, where sports isn't regulated as much.

    Don't think the match was fixed. It happens, India always pickups wickets in bunches at a while and it happened the same here.

    Well every one is in this world for he purpose of earning.Some of them were using a correct path to earn them but some of them were use to earn it through wrong path or you can say it as easy money.In this time cricket is one of best place to earn some easy money.
