Yes facebook is a very good traffic source. Because, it works based on the network. But lot of them don't use as a professional source but use for fun and entertainment. You have some other things for the traffic sources like twitter, Linkedin

Any traffic that is legitimate is fine. Problem is when your 'fan' s starts clicking the ads too often.

Now I don't think some traffic from Facebook should do you any harm. So long you don't encourage ad clicking.

Facebook is good but start using stumbleupon.com to get more traffic, because Stumbleupon can bring more traffic than Facebook, it's my challenge.

First learn the steps ans than start.

I had seen discussions on facebook traffic on adsense forum. Having most of the traffic from facebook and no traffic from search engines can get you in danger.

yes, but it kinda limited the niche you can successfully advertise in my opinion, like hobbies and entertainment.

I appear on television about my niche, so I have many Facebook friends who have friended me with the same interest, or they just happened to see me on TV and added me. Every new post I write I post on Facebook. Usually only results in 25-30 extra visits to the site each time, but I only have around 400 friends who are interested in the niche. Its a small niche. I don't write every week, so it is not my main click source by far. If I was relying on facebook I would go broke lol. I am not going to be one of those people who add a ton of people, just to promote my site. But it is nice to be able to promote your website to like-minded people

If you use facebook ads or anything that you think might be a problem just like adwords->adsense arbitrage is a problem, then it's best to stay away. At least that's what I'm doing and I have no problem so far.. I don't know if I would have had problems anyway, but without it it's fine too, so I play safe, I don't need to become billionaire anyway..
