Fraudulent Websites

A site was established one year after our website was launched with the same domain name (spelled differently) and duplicate content. Google was informed over 6 months ago yet this site is still listed with the duplicate content. They did however, remove our inventory numbers from their website. We have been trying to get a website shut down for nearly a year. Any suggestions besides suing for unfair business practice?

If, for example, your domain name is yoursite dot tld while theirs is yourrsite dot tld, plus you've established trademark rights with your term/s, you can
send them a Cease & Desist (C&D) letter claiming trademark infringement under the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) or theAnticybersquatting
Consumer Protection Act (ACPA) if you're U.S.-based. If they don't respond after sending them that letter, then it's up to you if you wish to file a dispute
using either method mentioned above. (although UDRP is practically cheaper and faster than ACPA...)

It does cost money to file either action, but that's a "nature" of civil disputes like this one.

There are lots of fraudulent websites on the internet used as hackers and spammers. In order to avoid these things you should be very much careful before doing anything else.
