So, I read about not showing your affiliate ID (hop name) from click bank, when you advertise your affiliate link. How can you do that because when someone click the link the browser points to <sitename>/hop=XXXX (xxxx= your user id)?! I miss something here?!
You can use an affiliate link cloaker. Search it up in google. Theres some free ones and ones you need to pay for (paid ones offer way better quality).
Well, many web surfers recognize affiliate links, and if they see a link that is obviously an affiliate link, they are much more likely to use their own affiliate link or go create one in order to get a discount on the product. If you can cloak your link, they may not realize the product has an affiliate program, and thus they would be more likely to purchase through your link. Cloaking links is VERY imporant. As was stated, do a google search. There are free link cloakers.
Also, some people will STEAL your affiliate comissions by replacing your affiliate link with their own. So you have to hide them.
Why hide them? It's been proven over and over that sales go up if you cloak your links, that's why. Why? Who knows.
Greetings! Here are the two best ways to cloak clickbank links to hide the hop?=username from the URL. If you are the publisher with the website, then make a simple php redirect script, as follows: <?php header("Location: http://www.yoursite.com"); ?> name is something like: home.php, then have your clickbank's product page go to that script instead of http://www.yoursite.com If you are the affiliate and the publisher has not done that, then you are going to need a redirect script for yourself (but a much more complex one), you can download it here http://www.big-affiliate.com/files/cblink.zip (just follow the instructions in it) And there ya go!
It might be too late for a lot of you but after sitting through a LOT of 'Michael Cheney Talk' one of the better ideas to consider would be to put more thought into your actual username. I'm not giving too much away but use something more associated with web addresses RATHER than a name like lukesmith Hopefully a good tip... best of luck trying to find one though! Regards, Rich.
If you show your hoplink you lose commission because 1 most people will not use the link because they don't want anyone making money on there sale 2 if they have their own cb account they might replace your cb nickname, so they have the commssion 3 some people just cut out your cb nickname and go to the site directly There are several solutions to this problem, I found a nice solution in this free ebook, but because I'm new here I cannot give a link. Is anyone intrested? Hans De Grande
You can use an affiliate link redirection site like the one I'm selling here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=185578 This will allow you to hide your affiliate link.
Yes I agree but doing all the above 1, 2 & 3 is pointless. Because from #1 & #3. The buyer will still pay the same amount regardless anyone else get the commission or not. This is always the work of a real Loser in life who is jealous of others. #2 Even if they create their own CB account and purchase is using their CB Nickname so that they get their own commision. They will not get that commission easily. Because to control this from happening CB have criteria to follow before the first Clickbank check is send out to affiliate. There need to be 5 transaction from 5 different Visa or mastercard owner in your account before the check is released for the first time. It is a one time thing. So, for someone setting up an account just for this purpose looks like they won't be getting the commission that soon. It only works for someone who has already passed that one time criteria. It is a logical thing to do. If you can buy it from yourself why buy from others. No affiliate would try selling to another affiliate knowing that it is a pointless act. Nita
