Anyone have real life experience with any of the premium adsense word press themes? Like the CTR Theme and heatmap theme. I know it is no big secret on the best placement for ads, but I like some of the other features. I could program them in time, but the first batch of original articles is almost done for my new adsense site. I think the features I like the most on the CTR theme is that the theme can change the color of the adsense ad block to match the site, and that you can block certain referrers from seeing the ads. I have a copy of the expertwp theme, but that seems a little out dated now, and I can't block certain referrers from seeing ads. Not sure how big of a deal it is, but I will be doing some social bookmarking to promote the site and posts, and I have heard of accounts getting suspended for spam simply because of the adsense ads on them. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Michael
Keep SEO in mind when selecting a theme. I would go for one that has good SEO and clean code first. Check out the Thesis theme. It ain't free but it's probably the best theme out there.
Well, the situation with all Adsense WP themes is that all of them looks awful. They are good for raising CTR, but if you have in mind a professional web 2.0 look for your website, stay away from those themes.
From the video I have seen about ctr theme I thought it was very nice indeed, with the randomness of ad location and the good ad placement. I don't use any wordpress installs, I'm more into Drupal but I guess if there was a paid theme and modules for Drupal I might have bought it for trying it. Can't be bothered to do it myself honestly.
Yea stick with the theme you like, throw on the all-in-one SEO plugin, and then just place your ads in the standard high CTR places (there are plugins for this as well).
No.. OP, find a theme that has clean code. There are millions of nice looking themes but if they are coded shitty then it will hurt your SEO. Slow page loads speeds etc... You of course do want to use the SEO plugins but you want a clean coded theme ALSO not just one that looks good. (Damn n00b's and their shitty advice...)
