Keyword tracker not tracking Yahoo, Some Google, still no PR and links - Just me?

Discussion in 'Keyword Tracker' started by debunked, Nov 7, 2011.

Am I the only one that seems to having all these issues? The last few times others had issues they seemed to have them corrected, but for me it just keeps getting worse. I have 5 API's and I know it still is limited, but why does Yahoo no longer track at all? Why still no BL's or PR with Google?

Is it my server blocking services somehow?

    Yahoo Results:
Yahoo does not have ANY of their own search results as of Sept 15th... they are completely transitioned to Bing results as of that date. And as such, they have shut down their APIs since well... they no longer have an index of their own. http://www.ysearchblog.com/2011/09/14/site-explorer-transition-to-bing-webmaster-tools/

PR, links and Google should still be fine though... are you maybe running out of API queries allowed by Google each day?

I understand Yahoo now, but I am even doing one by one with google and NOTHING has worked since August on PR/backlinks and I have the latest script, so that is fully updated. EVEN then there are some sections of google keywords that just won't check.

What's one of the URLs you entered (exactly as entered) for tracking Google back links on?

All URL's no longer working - here is one: www.urnsnw.com
    J
ust disabled ALL yahoo and then ran the tracker and only 2 Google KW's even showed a change an most show N/A even if they are #1. Some of these sites have been tracked since around 2004

I am thinking something on the server is keeping things from connecting correctly, but I wouldn't even be sure where to start.

Bing results on Yahoo? Thanks for putting that out there. I'm not much for Yahoo or Bing so the combination puts me off even more but regardless the information is important.

Go ahead and try it now... it looks like there was an issue where the Google API key wasn't getting used for back link requests.

Thank you Shawn, finally seeing PR and backlinks again. Still having some of our oldest sites not getting the KW positions anymore. Not sure what has changed, since we can see in Google the positions are still there. (yes, with personalization off.)

Do you have an example of a keyword/URL combo (exactly as entered) that it's reporting wrong for you? I'll try it on my end and see if I can track it down...

Google results have it as http://northwestgifts.com, but you are having the KW tracker search for http://www.northwestgifts.com (different). If you want to find anything in the domain, just track the domain... northwestgifts.com

But when you want to track a specific sub-domain (www), the sub-domain has to match in Google results for it to find it.

Shawn, is there a way to change all of them so that we can keep the history and not have to re-enter all we are tracking? This is probably the same for a few of the older domains, since server settings have changed since the beginning. (Moved some sites to different servers)
