Which brings it around to my original question. It seems like the only reason people know this is fake because it's a PR10, which is as rare as can be. So everyone assumes it's fake. But no one has really said "here's exactly what you do to see that it's fake." If you can't do that for this domain, then how do you have any faith in buying any more "average" domain like a PR3 or PR4?

    Go to Google - http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy-....,cf.osb&fp=e64038f3d6580e12&biw=1366&bih=673

You will see that the domain points to spasat.com, but take a look at Google's cached image of the domain, it still shows Univesitas21.com.

    This is what happened here:

Someone redirected the domain name spasat.com to univesitas21.com. Upon Google's pagerank update, spasat.com also received the same PR as that of universitas21.com. (This is an old technique used to forge pagerank by fraudsters.)

The users will then remove the redirection and Google's search will show that the domain no longer redirects. Uninformed users will not know that the domain has been redirected. Scammers will then use this short period of time to sell the domain.

Unfortunately for the scammer, like in this instance, Google's cached image still points to Universitas21.com, which is an indication that the domain has been redirected.

Upon the next pagerank update the domain will go back to PR0. In all likelihood, Google also banned the domain and it will never see a PR10.

if you do not see results when you do a search link:domainname in Google, it is almost as good as fake.

If results show very few links and PR is higher, you need to be cautious.

You can also take a risk with small PR domains as investment is smaller :)

Do not be fooled into buying this domain as the next update will see the site either having to be re-pointed at the same domain name or it will drop from a PR10 to a PR0 and if Google continue to slap sites at the rate that they are doing, they will be giving this 'gift from google' a greybar and it will be worth less than the money you'll have to pay for the headache relief after it happens.

The seller is trying to sell a domain that has a higher PR than Google.com and .co.uk at the moment and with so little content, links and knowledge over the domain, it is clearly fake and sales threads like this should be banned along with those who post them without the admission that the PR is faked.

So how so we know that he has 301'd the domain?

Simply take the title of the site and paste it in Google, strange how it has the exact same title as the PR10 legimate site...

It's complete garbage and the guy is trying to con webmasters just like you into thinking that this is a steal...

"Gift for Google" - Are you serious?!

You know well and good that the PR 10 on this domain came from being forwarded to http://www.universitas21.com/

We know you know this because you plastered University 21 info all over your site to confuse the issue.

You really think anyone is going to believe that Google is going to give a PR10 to a site that is showing ZERO incoming links using the Google link: search. Really??? Only if they are completely retarded.

You can find a list of PR10 sites at http://www.searchenginegenie.com/pagerank-10-sites.htm

Why it does not include the update from this week I am sure that we all realize that some no name site with zero backlinks is really not going to join that group.

It is not a gift from Google and it has nothing to do with the last update. This is normal behavior with a redirected domain, the PR lasts for a few weeks or so after the redirect stops and then the PR disappears.

And like I said earlier in my last post, you know exactly where the PR is coming from or you would have not have added all the University 21 all over the blog to confuse the issue.

If you really thought the PR was real you would not have any idea of the site where the PR actually came from. Since you knew enough to post all that University 21 info on the site you know that the PR is not genuine.

Seriously dude you can protest all you want but I doubt anybody really believes that you are not aware of how your domain got the PR and the fact that it will shortly be back to a big fact Zero.........

People like you that make me have to spend so much time checking out every domain I am interested in buying.
