Honestly: those 3 once were the best, but that has changed from every angle you may want to look at. They live on their names, but don't benefit you anymore. Well, Yahoo! does to some extent, the other 2 benefit the owners/editors etc.

That is a hard one. But I would have to go with one of these 2

    http://www.elegantdirectory.com
    http://www.2yi.net/

I've been watching both of these directories every since I started my own back in June. Both owners have done a great job with making improvements and pushing the directories to the next level. 2 very solid canidates.

I think that to generalize and select what in fact are 'old dinasours' really is not where the Net is right now :) [
I think the web moves with sizzle and acumen and I envisage that this thread will in fact highlight newer Directories that in fact offer much greater benefits
than the one's you have selected

And lets be realistic do Dmoz, Yahoo, & BOTW
    'give a hoot'
whether they are on this thread

    I doubt it :)

Getting in DMOZ or BOTW doesn't benefit you anymore? Ooooookay.

It does, but this is 2006, and there are many directories here which are far more beneficial. Aviva, Kingbloom, Alive, just to name a few.

    My directory

    www.indianwebdirectory.info

Also www.annexagain.com which would be the biggest directory by way of categories after I complete it

I hope I would complete the work of adding categories soon and announce it within a matter of days

I do n't understand what you are talking but from your words I unerstand that you are saying me that I am speaking under influence of some thing that is banned

I think only Americans will use such banned substance Indians will always speak truth you can see it there in my directory

This is getting very off-topic (sorry britishguy).

Can you pin point where is the true is it at “Indianwebdirectory -The greatest web directory” or at annexagain.com can you point me exactly where is the true, I am very interested!

Also “The greatest web directory” was this title given by external reputable entity or you just self proclaim yourself.

(I think this is a great post for my 1,000 post at DP; I will find the real truth soon :))
