Keep it up enzoch You really inspire people like me who are still strugling to reach that 100 unique hits a day mark. I will try dzone soon and let you know about the results.
I've seen some traffic from Digg and Furl. Social bookmarking is a great tool for visitors to bookmark relevant content, so congrats on getting your site noticed!
Alright I have to ask about the adult webmastering is it fun? I can even imagine the kinds of promos and stuff you did to take the site off of the ground.
Thanks, I'm still learning (I have been learning a lot from DP). What I can tell you is: be patient, don't give up. Last month, one of my articles was featured in eioba.com, they sent 50+ visitors overnight, and kept doing it for three days. I was excited.. but then it was back to normal. I tried to create another article, hoping that someone will submit it again. But nothing happened. I kept writing, though (honestly) I almost gave up. I thought nobody likes my articles.. my article is suck Then it happened.. my other article is picked by dzone. Now I'm convinced.. it's just a matter of time.. keep adding your contents.. a fresh and unique contents, and there will be "miracle"
enzoch you have the right spirit man. keep up the good work and I'm sure you'll create your own miracle
Thanks GR-2X.. emthree, be careful.. that's also what I was thinking 2 months ago, when I was told that digg and del.icio.us work extremely well.. don't expect much.. what happened to me, probably will not work to you.. just keep adding contents..
One strange thing that I notice here: I have submitted some of my articles to free articles directories, such as ezinearticles, goarticles and amazines. My articles work perfectly well, and was featured in another websites as well. Strangely, when I searched for my keywords in google, I couldn't find my websites; but those in ezinearticles are in the top positions! For social bookmarking websites, they work differently. When I searched my keywords, I found my website in the top position, and links from dzone, digg, right below it. Is there anyone here who also notice the same thing? I hope this is not because google thinks that I have duplicate contents.
Hehehe, this is all about social bookmarking websites where you have to set a tag that best describes the site you are promoting. You will need to use at least one of these websites such as technorati.com for you to be able to follow what he's saying.
This is normal, because your website is so new. When your pages are spidered and indexed, they SHOULD replace the pages linking to them. At least it's been the case, in my experience. The directories get spidered first because they have link popularity.
as I already said, what happened to me might not be happened to you. I was also like you two months ago.. I read in this forum about digg and del.icio.us.. but when I submitted my articles, nothing happened. Just keep writing.. one day, you'll get a "miracle" too, just like me
is it just me or is "dzone" being plugged in every post he makes? (i just did it lol) He plugged it 5 times on page 1, 5 times on page 2, and 3 times on page 3 for a total of 13 references to the site in a single thread. And in case you're wondering, the answer is no, I don't have anything better to do.
