Its true, Content is king , If you see big brand website that do not do SEO but still have huge traffic becaue of Good content .

Anyway, when it comes to users, if you target users using good contents you will surely have great results....
Sometimes not just the contents alone but how these are formatted also matter to let visitors stay long and come back to your site again. Quality as well as design of a site also matters.
Unique and readable = king. Everything else = Panda. If it ain't unique and readable nowadays, you won't pass google.
You have a point, and while you can fake the part that there are people talking about your latest post and linking to it, the only think you can get from it is a boost in your site's rankings. This will not bring you targeted traffic, and even if it does, you are not assured that they will stay in your site unless you have good content. Quality content speaks for itself. I have known of small, personal blogs that are now huge simply because the blog owner churns up good content regularly. Other bloggers stumble upon the blog and they link back to a favorite post (no need to pay for links there) and the blog gets a wider audience and bigger recognition.
Still Content is the king in the Internet Marketing. If you are using unique content every time then your content will be indexed faster and that will help you in ranking search engines.
Actually I am a big fan of idea that Content rules SEO. This is my first of all notice that i have in my head doing the web master stuff. It is just the same as book writing. No good content -- no big number of readers and there is no matter how great the is the view of this book.
according to me , conten is king but the queen is backlinks from authority site , the more your konten is unique then the more you get on page one ...
yes as long as its fresh and intresting enough to keep visitors comming back to your site, dont get sucked in to buying cheap plr as lots of people do this and just post it as is. if you want to buy cheap plr then use it as research then retype the whole thing in your own words. google will love you for it
Definitely NOT a myth. Quality and Unique content are a must when you want to rank in GOOGLE.... Google loves content....and backlinks of course. You can always write content for Google, but make sure you keep in mind that Google is not the one reading your content, WE ARE. So, write for readers instead, but incorporate some quality SEO techniques within your content. GC
