Does anyone else find that once they complete a design, they immediately come across a site that's 1000 times better? I just finished www.monochromedia.com. I was happy with the design, because it took a lot of time and effort. If I may say so myself, it looks pretty good. Then I come across www.ndesign-studio.com. Amazing - makes me feel like a complete amateur. This ever happen to any of you guys?
Me too! Really nice and fresh - it's really visually invigorating That orange and white theme is lovely The other one is nice, but too busy for me. You know that depressing feeling you mention when you see something a 1000 times better? .... well I just got it! Thanks a bunch for that
Who cares? your site is extremely awesome, it may be slightly simple compared to that site but I think yours is nicer.
Your site is more usable and straight to the point. His is a bit confusing and requires me to "think". But the code behind his site is much better than yours. (since we're talking about two web design businesses ) Anyway, don't always listen to the critic inside you. And NEVER compare your site to other sites. As long as your site looks professional, and as long as you're satisfied with it, you shouldn't really be concerned.
Often (not on my current site, thankfully), I have a great idea, but it doesn't quite come together right in the end. Kinda hard to see the big picture. Then, I spend so much time trying to tweak it to look right when I should just start over entirely. That ever happen to anyone else?
Yeah that's one of the worst feelings ever and I've felt like packing it in and becoming a carpenter/ice cream man many times during those phases. I guess it helps to get away from the computer for a while in those times to gain a little bit of perspective, to try to find exactly where you're going with the project.
i agree with some of the previous posters, your site is better, the other one might be more graphically intricate but yours is much more easily navigatable.
Nice site Ninja! Simple, fresh and easy to navigate. Keep up the good work. You always find better sites than yours but that keeps you motivated and constantly improving. Good luck!
