Probably relatively accurate... unfortunately for Microsoft, they don't have a track record of inventing much of anything themselves... just taking other companies ideas and running it through their marketing engine. I can't think of *anything* that Microsoft was the one to come up with the idea for... only ideas they "borrowed"... Windows from Mac OS (they were DOS before Mac came out with a user friendly interface for an operating system). Internet Explorer from Netscape Xbox 360 from Playstation Zune from iPod Bing from Google Hotmail was purchased from another company Windows OS for mobile phones... been trying unsuccessfully to copy iPhone and Android What has Microsoft *really* invented on their own that was good? That being said... yes... we will see stuff like that, but I suspect it's not going to be from Microsoft (at least not first).
