Best bet is probably to find some hosting with Softaculous or similar that will auto install Wordpress for you. Wordpress is pretty simple, good for SEO and easy to update.

Wordpress is for "normal" people that need an easy to manage site.
If you are looking for more complicated solutions you can try Joomla or Drupal.
These are all Open Source (Free) content management systems (CMS).

All of them offer free web templates as well. You can swap out images, banners, etc. and make it customized for your business.
You need to make sure your host supports the CMS, but most hosts do. Some even offer automated installation of the software onto the servers.
    (Ex: GoDaddy.com and HostGator.com)

+1 for Wordpress. Very very easy to use. My mum uses it :)
Don't focus too much on SEO'ing the code - you could do more harm than good. Just create crap loads of GOOD QUALITY text content across multiple pages/posts.
Might be worth paying somebody a few dollars to set up the hosting + Wordpress etc for you. It's very simple, but if you haven't done that kind of thing before it might be a headache.

A word about SEO btw. Google changed it's algorithms a few months back, so speed in page loading is a factor. Plugging key-words into your content doesn't hold the same clout anymore either. You need good INFORMATIVE content, outside links, and speed.

Wordpress is a best option you can opt for but do remember to get is hosted on a trusted hosting provider, otherwise if you go for free wrordpress account then you never now when you site can get terminated by wordpress.

I'd recommend setting up Wordpress and installing a free theme (you can browse and automatically install them from the Wordpress admin dashboard!)

Once you get more Wordpress/website-competent, perhaps you can hire a designer to create a custom wordpress theme for your company site. :)

Exactly! WP is the easiest way to get your website up and running. A web hosting company with Softaculous, Fantastico, or SimpleScripts will allow you to easily install wordpress on your site in a few minutes time. Best of luck!

I can work with you and keep the price low (even lower then advertised on my site). I do wordpress sites for customers all the time for low prices. Click the link below or in my signature for more info or send me a private message.

I even build people simple wordpress templates for free to get the link placed in the footer.

If you contact me I can send you a list of wordpress sites I have done as examples. I can do the hosting also.

Simple Business Web Design and Hosting Simple prices for great wordpress based sites with 24/7 phone support with me - the owner of the company

I know wordpress SEO and can help you out and give plenty of advice if you need it on what you need to do to get people to your site.

I own a small ISP and web hosting company and have been in business since 2003. I have been building web sites since 1998.

    Thanks

If it's a small website, go for Wordpress....as everyone here has already suggested. You can get a lot of free template there which you can customize and maintain.
