In my experiences with different gateways and processors, I have come to the conclusion the PayPal Payments Pro is the cheapest, best option.

    Perks:
Only 1 cheap monthly fee ( gateway+processor combined, normally have 2 monthly bills )
    Low processing free
    Accept any card

Authorize.net is okay, but you need a Gateway, another 30 bucks a month or whatever, First Data gets people on their 3 year contracts...

    What do you guys think?

There are a number of gateways other than Authnet that are lower cost. $30 per month, is pretty steep. I will say that the combined billing is a plus, since most merchant account/gateways will have separate charges.

However if you add recurring billing, $40 setup, and $30 per month extra, and any of the other addons that many people use, Payments Pro is one of, if not the most expensive, gateway.

Please show me a gateway + processor that is cheaper than $30 / month, reliable, with respectable processing fees.

Well... if you do not *need* a merchant account, Plimus is good to process credit cards. No monthly payment fees, and you can customize the checkout.
