That's a pretty neat summary. What you're saying is you need to post unique content based on popular, happening subjects that will earn you traffic, because traffic is king in the world of the Adsense publisher. The article is geared to the US, but should work with any geographical area as long as the right drop downs are used at the start.

    Great info. Thanks.

I appreciate your effort for posting this thread :).

I don't really understand these words in red ,what does "keyword" here stand for? The 5 keywords? What does "before" stand for? which action ? So how you get the following results?:
Now you need to listen and understand, for each keyword you'll do the same as before, pick two keywords (often they are keyphrases, that is 2 words or more, but there can also be single word keywords) one from each list, if some keywords are in both lists, pick those. If there are numbers in the keyphrases, pretend they don't exist, that is for instance for NBA I get "2010 NBA DRAFT" if I pick this keyphrase I will consider only NBA DRAFT without the year, that's what I mean by using your brain a little.. Also note that above the two lists there is a dropdown list that you use to switch between your inputed keywords, that will show the different lists for each keyword.

So I do this process and here are my results:

    NBA & FOOTBALL: NBA DRAFT/ESPN & FOOTBALL SCHEDULE/COLLEGE FOOTBALL
GOLF & PGA: GOLF COURSE/GALAXY GOLF & PGA TOUR/PGA SUPERSTORE
FOOTBALL & FANTASY FOOTBALL: NCAA/NCAA FOOTBALL RANKINGS & YAHOO FANTASY/ESPN FANTASY

I sincerely need your help, thank you very much!

Seems nice. Get the hottest search everyday. I am interested to see how well it will work in other languages.

@stan7: it means you'll do the same as before, except that this time you will write something in the keywords field.
Read my method at least 2 or 3 times, because:
    - I'm not a native english speaker, so my english is crap
    - You're not a native english speaker, so your english is crap

But we can communicate ideas, it's just we need to be more careful than if we both were american or british or australian..

@all others who wrote their appreciation: thank you to take the time to write to me about you having understood and maybe trying the method yourself in the future, I hope many people can take the shortcut and stop with the wondering and head scratching, if you're like me you're not writing ONLY about topics you love, but in order to get out of the rat race and earn money online so you don't have any boss or customers...

THis is for sure a very good method, but only in theory.
I can tell you that even if you do this kind of keyword research, if you don't have an authority site (PR 3-4, Alexa below 100.000) no one will read your posts.
Because if you have a new site, and write a post with keywords NBA&FOOTBALL ( I keep the example from thread starter), for this so much searched keywords (according to Google Insights) you will be on 10th page of Google, and NO ONE will even know that your post exists, and for sure NO ONE will read your post.

@mrgood: there is a reason why you won't be on page 10, it is because you've mixed two and more popular keywords in your article, and this sets you apart of the big competition. Of course you're not hoping to be read when searching for football or for nba.. But when someone will be searching for football vs nba (or any queries that mix together some words) then you'll find your article to be ahead of the nearly non existant competition..
Just try it for 4 weeks, you'll see that it represents a lot of work and that you're not counting on any single article to make money, it's a combinaison of everything..
That's why in the method I'm saying that I don't explain the reasonning behind it, because I have already talked about in my blog and in general this is based on real datas that I see everyday in my web tracking on my multi users sites.
That's why it requires some faith if you want to save yourself the thinking, and also because what is most important is doing the actual work, 3 articles a day, everyday, for 4 weeks, I don't know about you, but for me it represents a lot of work that I'm not doing, that I haven't been doing for so many years now..
If you're still used to work for a boss or for customers, with the goal of meeting deadlines or finishing the fatest possible a work for a customer, to be paid faster, then this method won't represents such a big deal, but if you're already retired from all this crap, then working every day for 4 weeks on anything is a challenge in itself.

In the past i readed on your blog and I see as per category their are no keywords match from both lists. Can you run a sample on home and garden to show me what topic should use.

Why not you run a home and garden and put the result? It is not only with keywords, you have to have the imagination to know what pair work fine!

For the screenshot you show I'd take (I can take many, but let's say it's the first article I write about this topic)
FURNITURE (maybe mix it with BOBS, but not sure) & HOW TO.

Then I would search 2 keywords for FURNITURE and 2 keywords for HOW TO and then write some article about that, I'll come up with something, anything, that's for sure, not a problem, just use your imagination and humour maybe.

But honestly, anything you take and mix from those 2 lists will yield results, it's not about this particular article, it's about the fact you're writing 3 a day for 4 weeks, and probably will continue to do so for several months..

So you'll hit gold for some and for other you won't, but at least you're putting all chances to your side by doing it this way instead of using your brain power and assumptions in order to come up with article's ideas.

And most importantly, this method is just a guideline, it's not fixed at all, you're still free to do whatever you want, it's your site, your articles, if you think that garden table is a good keyword, then by all means, use it in your article, even in the title, up to you really.. You won't go wrong as long as you're working and base yourself on google insights for the core of the article..
So don't think this method should be followed to the letter or won't work, no it's not about that at all!

Thank you stan7 for translating it in chinese, I have a chinese friend, he's a webmaster also, I'll send him that page, even if he can read english I'm sure he will prefer your translation!

The problem as you mentionned in your text and as he told me before is that Google Insights doesn't work "well" for China, and Baidu doesn't have a similar tool..

Do you know what tool in China allows to know about what is popular/most searched for on Baidu?

On Google Insights you can choose China and it gives some information, so I don't get why you don't use that.. Yes Google in china is like Yahoo in europe, hardly used compared to Baidu, but still, if you know what is popular in china on google, it will be quite similar to what is popular on baidu, so why not do it? Maybe of course they have less data, simply take longer date periods, adapt the method to what is available on google insights for china..

Honestly I don't know at all what google insights provides for china, if it is total non sense or not, you know better.
