Can't find any PPD rates anywhere on the website.
It says "up to $100 per 1000 downloads", but nothing about what countries pays the least/most.

 

wulkanen - they base that on how many sales you are getting, it is a ranked system , tbh it is a con, as you will only get good rates if you sell a lot and you'd profit more on PPS

Oron keeps wanting me to contact them on ICQ, it's "urgent" yet when i do i never received a reply.

Very strange, i just received another message to contact them, i've tried to get a hold of them on icq for over 3 weeks.

Any ideas?

Oron Support on ICQ is available every day... Just be sure that your ICQ is online. I spoke to them this morning, also the day before, and on Sunday!They are available for most of the time. 99% that they are online is from 7-12 AM GMT. You won't achieve anything with sending mails - they obviously need you 'live'.

When you are contacting them use your Oron username.

 

Technically there are no rates. It is all determined by your account level. If you are 100% (rare) then you would get the $100 per 1000 free downloads. However as others said you have to make a significant number of sales and because of that you would profit more from PPS as opposed to PPD.

I was on the 50% PPD + $7 PPS and when I was sitting at around 15-17% (33% account level divided in half), I made $12.64 with 710 free downloads. Another day I only made $5.50 and lost out on $25 worth of new sales. So PPD is definitely a con or at the very least an extremely broken system that is not really profitable.

Many people opt for the 55%/55% PPS plan.

Account level takes into account certain criteria such as number of new sales, downloads, files/space utilized, etc.

 

I think 100% is impossible...

However...

When you're a -

- beginner (first month) --> use PPD! [PPS directly is useless, getting a sale is more a luck]
- advanced poster (100+ movies) --> use PPD 50% + $7 PPS [you will get some cash by PPD while having a chance for a sale...]
- non-stop high quality poster (250+ movies) --> PPS 70/30 [you're getting nice sales already, use PPS only!! Don't change to 55/55 when you haven't made sales for at least 2 months! No Rebills would mean a lose of 15% on new sales]
- experienced mother fucker (making nice sales for at least 2 months, 100 sales+) --> PPS 55/55 [you're getting many rebills and future sales? Change to 55/55!Why? Let's say everyone buys a 1-month account... 55+55=110% instead of 70+30=100%!]

I guess I will change to 55/55 now, because I made nice sales already...

Thus the net profit you make with the Pay Per Download mode
depends on the overall LEVEL you have reached.
This level is affected by the quantity of sold premium accounts in relation to your traffic volume. How much your traffic is worth is determined automatically and updated every 24 hours by calculating the rate based on your conversion ratio for the last 3 days.
--> Note that the your level may drop fast depending on the amount of NEW files your upload or on the other hand rise fast if you sell
a lot of accounts during a period of time.

 

Making 53$ on one day with "only" 478 downloads overall is a stunning and amazing achievement.
Imagine having 10 times the traffic...
You can see from these stats that victims found his niche.

Dear Shin, you posted some wise words but let me assure you that I was on 100% in the PPD mode myself for many weeks.
That was back in January 2010.
Fact is that you will probably make much more money even when you reach 100%
if you switch to the 55%55% mode.
---> THERE is no "golden rule".

What I can see is that your overall download numbers are still relatively small and in addition your
premium numbers / non premium numbers are at a 1:2 ratio already meaning that you are
probably posting on large, well known boards with many ORON links and / or common files.

I need to look deeper into your posting strategy today via PM.
