I was wondering about that. What does Yahoo have to gain by promoting IE 7??? Is Microsoft paying Yahoo to promote its new web browser?

You'd think they'd want to be associated with MSN?

I guess Yahoo and MSN have figured out that they if united can be a real competitor against Google, no wonder if in the near future you see that their search results be interlinked as well.

I thought Yahoo was making it's own browser called "Yowzer"? It's affiliated with the SBC ISP.

whatz the use of search results getting interlinked?.,
Altavista shows yahoo results, is that useful?

If this happens it would be funny.,
    MIcrosoft buys Yahoo.,
Live.com combines MSN and Yahoo's algorithm and operates as a seperate engine
MSN and Yahoo will be concentrating corely on their portal as a whole

It is a total rip of firefox's tab browsing system
It lags badly when opening a new tab.
It takes longer than IE6 to load.
It uses more RAM than IE6, but only a few meg more.
It isnt compatable with some of the other windows apps.
It creates un-needed issues with WLM.

In otherwords, it is only installed on my pc for the security.. if it even has any!

I think Yahoo must be taking lots of $$$ to promote IE 7 on their site. Also, Microsoft has to promote IE 7 on a large scale to be able to compete with FF. And since FF is already being promoted by Google, Microsoft had to look for someone to promote IE on a big scale. IMO, this 'someone' could be no other than Yahoo.

Moreover, I've seen a lot of people facing problems while installing IE 7 on their PCs.

This could be a problem of Windows, but I was reading on forums, ppl were having problems like

"Explorer.exe unable to locate component" This application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found... and all sorts of weird errors.

Other people face problems in starting their Windows.
