I'm trying to use Craigslist as a market stepping stone.

There seems to be A LOT of potential since they average 10 Million unique visitors every day.

    Does anybody have any insight?

    Let me know :)

Hi,I had about Craiglist as well with its vertues on making fast sales. i have tried it twice, the Free ads one, but i did not get response. I don't know what i did wrong in my ad. I put a catchy picture (i believe!) and i choose some words that get attention. But nothing happen. Maybe someone else here who had good result will come and share his secret.Oh i forgot, i heard also about Usfreeads, that it is making miracle, but i went to check it out. The free version is really nothing. The premium version looks great because you can show affiliate links and the banner you want. but you know what? you have to pay $10 per month. It depend on your budget.

    Hi,

I've had some success with craigslist. Russonline is right. You really need to target the right areas number one. Keep in mind that craigslist kind of frowns on most affiliate links but if you do it right you can still make some sales. The key is your product has to be relevant to where you are posting. The other key is that you need to treat your posting as any other direct response marketing. Same rules apply. Use a great headline. Use good graphics. Your message should focus on benefits and solve their problem. Have a strong call to action and real testimonials! If you can, send them to a squeeze page and get their name and email. Most of the posting on craiglist suck so if you just put a little more effort into it your posting should really stand out from the rest. You want to get in the habit of posting often especially if you post something in the morning and by the end of the day you are page 2 of the listings. Hope this helps!

Craigslist is pretty strict with affiliate marketing and if you're not careful, you will get ghosted. Still a lot of potential from the targeted traffic if you do it right.

It depends on what you're selling. There is some saturation.

Make sure you post your ad in the correct category and simply use the same email that you used to post your ad to edit it every so often. Each time you edit the ad, the “flag counter” is reset, meaning this will lessen your chance of your ad being flagg.

craiglist is the fastest way to get money.
but make sure your are geographically targeted.
If your country have very low population then it is hard to make a profit.
you can post your ads every 48 or 72 hour if i not mistaken.
make your ads outstanding and have great offer.
    gd luck.

I just start classified from craigslist last few month .
i'm agree with that lot of potential customer there. While once i post , i get lot of respond.
But is that all real because some of it sound like spam or robot which it will auto ask about quotation.
Did you guys face the same problem as well?

Lots of people say that they don't use CL but I think many of them are lying. CL can be highly profitable depending upon your niche and whether you are using it to marketing outward or inward. What I mean by this is that you can essentially use CL as a means of finding people who may be willing to do business with you rather than you posting ads and looking for people to come to you.

I know many people who've been successful with CL. The thing is, when you are posting ads, they limit you to something like perhaps 3 per day. (At least in the small business opps section) The only way to get around that is to do blackhat tactics that usually always end up getting you in some type of trouble if not even sued.

Craiglist is good for many marketers, if you can get your ads to stick, plenty of folks report ads, not to mention competitors

Craigslist marketing can be tough. They have too many rules. Only 3 posts per day per account, can't post in different countries, consistent phone verifications etc.!
