It's the percent of people that bounced after only looking at one page in your site.

i want to add something here. It's advisable to try to keep the bounce rate at max 70%. I'm telling this from my experience. My sites are still surviving on the 1st page with this rate. This can be achieved by Distributing quality and helpful content.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. This entrance can be from any page on your site. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages are not relevant to your visitors.

Bounce Rate is basically the evaluation of any website or webpage which shows that how it is valuable/helpful for the visitors. If you have high bounce rate then it is the matter of concern, do needful activity to make the page useful.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single-page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages aren't relevant to your visitors. The more compelling your landing pages, the more visitors will stay on your site and convert. You can minimize bounce rates by tailoring landing pages to each keyword and ad that you run.

So, this mean that lower percentage is better for SEO, isn't it?
    Thanks
