SEO is still work and playing important role at this moment but we can actually see google is working hard on reducing the effect of SEO

I don't think SEO will every be 'ended' because if google change their algorithms people will always find a way to game it to their advantage.

Of course not. There will always be a gigantic SEO market. Is a bit of a shame they are doing this though.

If google would quit selling keywords to big companies like bed, bath, and beyond then maybe seo would help.

The #1 thing G cares about is search results matching what the searcher is looking for. With the bad press they got last year with major companies gaming the system they needed to take action. This cat and mouse game has been going on for a long time and will continue for a long time.

No not really. Things are simply changing. We are all going to have to adapt as always.

Thanks for all your feedback everyone.. So I guess it's not the end of SEO but the very beginning as Google is starting with some major changes, the SEO practitioners all across the world will learn to find better ways of optimization.

"encrypting" do you know what that means? Its pretty simple. The giant Google is keeping the information for themselves. Publishers will be better off on-board with Google as they will have most of the consumer search info. No end to seo. lol Actually my new site is doing quite well in search results.

And as far as Panda goes, its just Google's behind the scenes secret search engine project Caffeine being implemented. Been coming for years.

I wouldn't say it's the end, SEO will simply adapt once the changes come full force

This change has little to do with SEO, there is no real impact to SEO with this change. This will really impact those who obsess over tracking every visitor that comes to their site (not necessarily anything wrong with that) but the biggest impact will be to those who use complicated backlink sales strategies. There are some major sites that sell links and if you are buying links from them, can choose to show your ad only to traffic that got to that site from Google via a certain keyword. Honestly, we will have to do nothing different with this change...
