Can someone please explain the basics to me?

I have no experience with affiliate marketing. I have an online store though, and I am wondering, are there any programs where you can simply sell products in your store, and the sale is fully handled on their end, you just bought them the lead, and perhaps you get a % of each sale?

I want to stock my store with items, not sure where the place place to go for this though.

I thought of clickbank, but I would like a spot where it APPEARS as if they never even left the store- the transaction was done in the store, but the order went to the affiliate company and they send/deliver the product.

I think marketplace solution will better correspond your requests. You can open your own marketplace in your online store to make full use of your traffic. It function better than affiliate, because you can build your own customer database through every trade, which affiliate can't offer you. Of course, you won't manage stocks/logistics and you will earn commission at least 15% per sale. If you need more information please contact me via j@marketplacefactory.com, I'm Jonathan BEHAR.

Have you considered Amazon? you can just find physical products, or ebooks that you want to put in your store, and then make a commission each time someone clicks through and purchases it from you.

I've been considering something like this for myself, but I've heard some bad things about dealing with ClickBank so I guess I'll try linkshare and shareasale, etc.

There are plenty of programs like that, one of the oldest and best for per sale is Amazon, they have a bunch of affiliate scripts, from banners to whole entire Amazon stores all prefilled with your affiliate ID, you can simply copy and paste the code to your website or blog

Affiliate marketing has emerged to be a major source of generating income for the investors in the current market scenario. It has been proved beneficial not only for the brokers or the persons running affiliate business, but also for its affiliates to subscribe to an efficient and profitable affiliate program for growing their business further.
The affiliates can promote the products, ads, banners etc of their affiliated company on the search engines. They can also this by creating discussions in forums and through e-mail and viral marketing.
