Sure you can say that But look what is on that page you linked to : I did not change the letters, they also put his name in small letters. That page looks like page of bitterness. Ron Paul is a true statesman.
What is interesting and appealing about Ron Paul is the fact that, unlike EVERY other elected official, he hasn't changed his stands on various key issues depending on the polls. Therefore he can be trusted more than others to do what he promises at his campaign. Now while many parts of what he promises are good, many parts of it are against what #OWS are protesting for. Now on the issue of #OWS blocking Ron Paul's name. The idea is not that they hate Ron Paul, rather they are interested in having any current party or elected official claiming to represent them and therefore use the publicity and eventually kill the movement by their hypocrisy. They've taken the same steps to stop Obama's campaign on capitalizing on #OWS as well.
Found a work around. http://occupywallst.org/article/occupy-wall-st-and-allies-rally-march-united-civil/#comments
What bullshit. That forum is flooded with Obama trolls. No such censorship of Obama's name is taking place. I see the forum operators have come out of the closet now, calling the movement an "American Revolution". Here is the formula. Focus on Wall St. to take pressure off of Obama, Congress and Deficit spending Prevent cuts and keep our 1.5 trillion dollar deficit where it is at Hit the tipping point on our ability to pay the interest on the debt within 18 months Collapse the system from within, creating a revolutionary outcome by means of draconian cuts or violent overthrow of the government There is a reason why OWS has a ~30% approval rating and falling.
I'm talking about economic value, again I don't care about sentimental value which is exactly the same as inherent value. You could think a cow is the most sacred creature that ever greased the earth, I on the other hand may think they're disgusting vile creature. People who offer nothing to society are a liability on those who produce things of value, in the animal kingdom they'd get picked off. But we've seem to have breaded a system that caters for the weak at the expense of the able. It's a dog eat dog world, if someone wants to be your 'friend' there most probably trying to screw you over so they themselves can get ahead. You're in competition with everybody else for lifestyle, resources and what everybody wants happiness. Like everybody else they'll totally fuck you over to get it, and they don't fucking give a shit about your weak insecure emotions towards other humans. Life is a game, maybe you should start studying game theory.
I wonder if its even moderated... I've been posting that in over and over... Its still there. Time to get some work done..
I am not and again, I never want to think on humans as based on some dollar model. Its demeaning to humanity. You seem to have a lot of lessons for me to learn. I already told you the answers to the first one. We are off topic...PM ME.
@Rebecca Thanks for the picture , now I realize that I fully support the following movements : #Occupy the Tundra , #Occupy Sahara , # Occupy the Geographical North Pole , #Occupy Krakatoa .
That page has just been rewritten! It appears the author never learned about apostrophes or capitalization, or may be under the influence of mind-altering drugs. I don't know. It's not that I'm a master of the English language, but this is pretty bad. They say Ron Paul is "50 percent insane and crackpotted" and "hes ignorant." And, of course, there is the part where they condemn Ron Paul for saying he would have "A pro American Defense policy" as President. OWS says, "We need a pro HUMAN defense policy, all this pro american stuff is THE PROBLEM." I would actually like Ron Paul to have a pro-American defense policy, you know, being the President of the United States. With the immigration policy, they say he's just a racist and they finish it up by saying he's a shill for corporations. No doubt, they will edit their page of stupidity again. At least I took screen shots for proof. But, Blue Star, I do agree - Ron Paul has many great qualities. LOL. Ha Ha - I thought the dogs were cute...
He is, as he likes to call himself, the "Champion of the Constitution". His dream is practically the same as the founding fathers. It is a dream worthy of keeping alive. Here is some help :
I enjoyed the video, but my impression (especially with the first half) is the creator most likely believes the "illuminati" are conspiring for a one-world totalitarian government. Just for the record, I don't personally believe there is such a conspiracy. However, I would be in opposition to any steps in that direction or open borders. Being the "Champion of the Constitution" is something I admire, and his views on civil rights. I also feel that 4-8 years of Ron Paul would probably be beneficial for our economy. @Nima, I'm not trying to hijack your thread if you would like to continue...
To Mia; Do you usually resort to sweeping generalizations like this? "The people running the protests, organizing them, etc. are all former Acorn employees" ? ALL of them??? In every city??? Really, you've checked all their backgrounds? "No, its not democracy. It's an angry mob of college kids and hippies," Even college kids and hippies are allowed to participate in democracy whether you like it or not. And here you are guilty of inciting violence. "Yes. I only wish they were using real bullets. It would make it much more prime time and entertaining."
If I wasnt so busy with my work, Id join. I really would love to. But I do have to get my stuff in line & have alot to manage. To show my support, I have discussions with people who are un aware of whats going on with it and inform them. I just cant go to the rallys.
Here's criticism about ACTA - Wiki It also says: Here is the letter of the 75 + law professors wrote to Obama. They say as well "ACTA’s negotiation has been conducted behind closed doors, subject to intense but needless secrecy, with the public shut out and a small group of special interests very much involved." And part of the letter: Now, it has been signed by 8 countries October 1, 2011, including the United States. :
Folks, thanks for your comments so far. Please have the rest of this (great) discussion on another thread. From now on I'll use this thread to report on my trip to various #OccupyWallStreet locations around Texas and eventually all the way to New York. I've spend yesterday and today with OccupyDallas and going to Austin tomorrow.
Nima, if you want to do a monologue uninterrupted by others comments you might try DPs blog function instead of attempting to rewrite how a discussion forum functions.
