    Hi,

I have a regular paypal account and want to upgrade to premium as my business is growing. just wanted you to share some experience about upgrading. specially if you upgraded after a while and not straight forward to a premium or business account.

Actually i am afraid of giving away money to paypal as way of "fees" ;) Tell me if it has been better upgrading to premium. Has it caused any problem in selling very low priced items? Like for $1 or so. I will be charged 3.9%+$0.25 if i upgrade.

    Thanks in advance :D

You can have one Personal and one Premium as per Paypal rules.

i thought it was 2.9% and 30 cents

Yeah, its not a good solution for selling low priced items. try google checkout/checkout.google.com or try paypal virtual terminal

i think you can check google checkout or e-gold. E-gold has got low transcation fees.

Ya that too is true but in my case not, cause i am charged for outside US access :)

Egold is not that widely accepted as paypal and it has its own problems, not suitable for me. BTW i already have egold account.

Also many ppl find it difficult funding an egold account including me :)

And thanks both of you for suggesting google checkout :D

    Edit:

I just now found out that rt. now gogle checkout is available for US residents only

After you upgrade your account,if someone send you $1,you'll only get $0.69:eek:

Create another account as premier account is the best way IMO.
    Yeah,1 personal &1 premier/business is allowed.;)

egold is quite scammy and attracts fly by night operators. If you only offer egold without Paypal, customers may not otuch you with 10-foot pole.
Get Personal + Premier account as suggested by others. :)

This is very true, after the scam ran at Stormpay by HYIPs operators, e-Gold stayed alone supporting certain activities that are unclear.

I have a Paypal Business account but after a client sent me a payment to a non-existent paypal email address on my own, I received a link from Paypal inviting me to open a personal account, so no problem having both.

I will suggest opening one premier account to accept the credit card funded payments and for non-cc funded payments keep using your regular one . Hence , you pay fees only on CC funded payments .

~~ If you upgrade an account ( from regular to premier ) then you can downgrade it back to Regular --->> Only Once .
