I would reccomment adding more text on the main page - hedding is only image. I would add text description and some perex. Also I will change description of each topics to have more text with important keyword. You can do keywords research in Google Keyword Tool. And think as users. When i land on this page, i don't know what is about. Try to improve that. And maybe if there is some module for PHPBB to generete nice urls, i will use it. Then you should try to get some backlinks to your site[COLOR=#fafafa !important] [/COLOR]
Hi I had a look at http://www.topicsbb.com/ and it is difficult to understand what the forum is about. Can you add some descriptive text in the header section? Also you should add appropriate meta information.

I like the clean look to the site. I don't think it is too simple because I like the nice clean look.
Your domain name is good i really like the color scheme of your site, content of the site is pretty good too
first thing I notice is the absurdly undersized fixed metric fonts -- I have to zoom in at LEAST 50% to even TRY to use the page. Declaring fonts in PX, especially on content areas is a miserable /FAIL/ at web development... even if the nimrods who make forum software like phpBB and myBB see nothing wrong with it; we're talking the same morons who slap classes on everything instead of letting inheritance do it's job so... The colors aren't bad, I see no color contrast issues, and it is semi-fluid so that's thumbs up across the board except... your min-width is too wide. Site is USELESS on my netbook... and really doesn't work right on phones/tablets, even the ones that should be smart enough to handle it. Biggest problem I see is what the devil is it about.... Oooh look, another forums... with no actual website in front of it. What's the point/why bother? I'd rip the code a new ******, but it's MyBB so we already KNOW it's rubbish using a single table for multiple tables, not using thead properly, slapping classes on EVERY TD for no good reason, static style inlined in the markup -- and all the other telltales of PHP developers who have no **** clue how to write HTML and CSS properly. Not really your fault -- as they say in media, garbage in, garbage out. Idiotic half-assed garbage like: <tr><td class="tcat"><span class="smalltext"><strong>Board Statistics</strong></span></td></tr> Apparently myBB dev's never heard of a TH... or inheritance.

What forum software do you use then? vBulletin, SMF etc. Are you a developer for one of them? I like SMF but I have to try others as I own an Admin forum... "with no actual website in front of it. What's the point/why bother?" Um, well, it's a forum, you discuss things and stuff.
