Ok guys, I need your help. My website http://www.bradsblog.co.uk just got PR1.. except its a site full of crap etc... Why did google PR it? and not my other websites?
PR basically depends on the dofollow backlink , not the content. Mean you can even found PR5 website/blog which is totally crap too
there is a possibility that someone who saw your site added the link somewhere creating a backlink which could've given you a pr there. while your others don't have much backlinks so then they didn't get a pr. Here, go here and check the backlinks on each other your sites and compare. http://www.seocentro.com/tools/search-engines/link-popularity.html
A freind of mine said his PR got updated a few days ago. I haven't heard about anyone else. Anyway... PR is nice to look at but traffic is where it's at.
I don't think Google's algorithm is perfect by any means, but the hope is given time your other sites will obtain their true worth and PR
You probably built some good links to the site and Google picked them up and gave that domain some page rank. Any page rank is better than 0 page rank. If you want to increase the PR for a site then build only high quality, high page rank backlinks to that site. When the next Google update hits you'll probably see an increase in PR. It's happened to me several times and I used the same websites over and over again for backlinks.
If content has nothing to do with PR, they may I know what reward will I get for regularly updating my sites? Even for example the content is not highly optimized, will it help? In what way?
34 back-links i mean in links to your website via yahoo explorer...I think PR update is because of that only.....
It a link/s. If you can't find it then it may have been a front page link on a site with a plug in that showed search results. If it was there for g's update you may have gotten credit.
