I'd just like to point out that our company website gets around 100 uniques a day, and we make a few million dollars a year, almost all from web leads.

There are niches like that out there (not telling you what it is though)

PS - It is a great shame that as an undervalued webmaster I see very little of all that profit

I know 100+ visitors are not strange for you..
(one of my websites has 500+ uniques/ day)
but this is exciting since they all came from a single source.

Last update: so far I got 212 visitors from dzone, and still counting
(there is 3 hours left to 24 hours)
today I saw my link is alive in digg and del.ioc.us as well.

 

I got 800 uniques from Google alone today. Does that count?

Okay, here's the final score: 267 visitors from dzone within 24 hours.

 

When i first started out I was dabbling in adult stuff. Submitted a gallery to theHun and got 120,000 uniques in like a few hours. Then my server crashed

I was exstatic.

nope, no adult sites for this guy anymore. Keep thinking about building another but never get around to it. I should, they are fun, even if I can't tell mom about it.

I'm still curious why there's no company ever think about creating their adult PPC click advertising. I think it will be very very profitable and there're many webmasters will be happy to join it

 

AVN ads is AdBrite's adult version of PPC ads. CPC is very low but with adult traffic its all about volume.

today I got traffic from stumbleupon. So far I got 80+ visitors in the last 5 hours.
I didn't submit it to stumbleupon,
so I guess someone found it from dzone, and helped me.

I read in another thread that traffics from digg is suck..
perhaps yes, if you monetize your website using PPC advertising.
No one click my ads so far. But I think these (dzone, digg, del.icio.us, stumbleupon) will help my SERPs rankings.
