:) yes above is also Mouse Trapping in perfect sense :) but i think you need this information: Mouse Trapping is a way/technique to keep your user engaged with your site. It is generally done by disabling the back button of browser or by continuously generating some pop-up window or re-launching their website again and again in new window.

Mousetrapping is a technique used by some websites to keep visitors from leaving their website, either by launching an endless series of pop-up ads—known colloquially as a circle jerk—or by re-launching their website in a window that cannot be closed (sometimes this window runs like a stand-alone application, and the taskbar and the browser's menu become inaccessible).

A mousetrap is a specialized type of animal trap designed primarily to catch mice; however, it may also trap other small animals. Mousetraps are usually set in an indoor location where there is a suspected infestation of rodents.

    Lol! ;)

Never heard of this term but I've experienced this myself. Some websites won't go anywhere when you push the "back" button and you're stuck on that page with nowhere else to go except closing the entire window or clicking to get to your default homepage.

Not sure what they're using to do this but it's very annoying!

Mousetrapping is a technique used by some websites (usually pornographic websites) to keep visitors from leaving their website, either by launching an endless series of pop-up ads—known colloquially as a circle jerk—or by re-launching their website in a window that cannot be closed (sometimes this window runs like a stand-alone application, and the taskbar and the browser's menu become inaccessible). Many websites that do this also employ browser hijackers to reset the user's default homepage. Other definitions of mousetrapping and related practices are found at Mousetrapping and Pagejacking.
