Page jacking is a method of search engine spam thats similar in nature to scraping. The difference is that with page jacking, whole pages and even whole websites are copied for the purpose on increasing search ranking and traffic for another site.
Pagejacking is stealing the contents of a Web site by copying some of its pages, putting them on a site that appears to be the legitimate site, and then inviting people to the illegal site by deceptive means - for example, by having the contents indexed by major search engine s whose results in turn link users to the illegal site.

Anyone who runs a content rich website will be familiar with other sites ripping off their content. Sometimes this is done with an outbound-link back to the original content, sometimes it is more blatant and sometimes it is even an error. I've had content copied by companies and organizations that should really know better. Many people forget that just because something is on the web it is still subject to copyright laws. Unfortunately with the web being such an international medium enforcing those laws can be difficult. It is an unfortunate situation, the web was designed for linking to useful content but it seems too tempting for some people just to copy and paste what they find to enhance their website. Wholesale rip-offs of multiple pages, even whole sites happen. This i

Page jacking is an unethical method in SEO used by some which involves stealing content from one website and publishing it into their own. In page jacking portions or complete pages are copied to manipulate SEO rankings and results.

By moving enough of a Web site's content as well as the page descriptor information (known as META information) within each page, pagejackers can then submit the illegal site to major search engines for indexing. Users of the search engine sites may then receive results from both the illegitimate as well as the legitimate site and can easily be misled to link to the wrong one. Users linking to the illegitimate site may find themselves redirected to a pornographic or other unwanted site. As an additional annoyance, users subjected to pagejacking may also encounter mousetrapping , in which clicking the Back button with the mouse does not lead out of the illegal site but only to the viewing of additional unwanted pages. To escape, the user may need to close the browser or even restart the operating system.
The activity of stealing content (typically in the form of source code) from a Web site and copying it into another Web site in order to siphon some of the original site??s traffic to the copied Web pages. Pagejackers rely on search engines to spider the contents of the illegitimate site and index the results so that the copied site will appear in the search result rankings along with the original site??s rankings. Users can be tricked into thinking the illegitimate site is the one they are searching for, and once they visit the copied site they may be subjected to mousetrapping. I just don't understand why people steal contents from others. If they can't write their own article or design their own website why even bother to join the parade. Well, with the kind of algorithm that Google has right now, people who are engaging this activity will not succeed.
But only source code will not help you make the page look similar. What else do they copy? Interesting topic though.
