    They are? Name one.
    IBM sells more software than Microsoft dollar-wise. Probably Oracle, too, closely followed by HP but I'm not sure about HP.

    Ever heard of Microsoft Windows ? It's been dominating the PC industry for over 2 decades and it just keeps getting better .

    Which in my eyes isn't an argument to be the 'leader'.
    Selling 100 licenses for $1000 vs. 10000 licenses for $1 ... think about it :)

    He said "more and new". Windows is not new. Nor is Office.
    Uh. Windows sales were down the two quarters before Win7 came out. iirc, Windows sales are predicted to be down when earnings are reported Thursday, too.

    Right because Windows 7 isn't new and it never sold in insane amounts .

    Also speaking of IBM , someone should have told you that IBM makes most of it's money from selling hardware . The only company that makes a lot of money from software is Oracle but they make only 1 true product that now new or sold en-mass .

    It depends on various criteria. Generally, Microsoft shows the leading position. But Oracle is focusing for its best position.

    IBM has sold more software which is used for server but MS has sold software which is used for personal computer.

    When you say User Friendly softwares then its definitely Microsoft. Microsoft Windows presents you an environment into which all other applications can run created by other companies
