Hi

I am new to this site. I would like to find out a few things. I have not started making any money as yet. I have copy and pasted and tracked my links with paydotcom. I have also placed a couple of ads in free classified advert sites. I'm also an affiliate to 1 or 2 vendors. So here is my questions: How do I set up a blog? How do I get traffic? How can I start making money as I do not have any funds at the moment?

hmmm..... very good question i feel just start some wordpress or blogsport. In that blog just update it daily what ever you know about SEO or SMO or PPC just put it in clear path surely it will bring you some good amount of traffic just try it

No I don't need to be spoon fed at all. I have searched but maybe in the wrong places. So please I need help if you are interested in helping me.

 

You don't need the money to start up. You can start off with a free theme, a free blogging platform and start writing one post a day. As you start to make money you can invest in a domain and a premium theme if you wish to give your site a unique feel to it.

Make sure to research your niche and choose a keyword to work to. If it's your first time blogging you might want to choose one that has little competition - the Google keyword tool can help with this.

You can place ads on your site instantly but don't go overboard and scare away the few readers you may have. Also make sure to check out the TOS for each one as some will not allow you to place other company's ads on your page. You will also need to include an advertising and privacy policy.

Once you have a few pages on your blog you should start to get a feel for things. Just don't start with the aim of making money - it takes a long time!

You've got two main choices - WordPress or Blogger. I'd go WordPress but others will disagree. Make sure you research first though. There are loads of sites that can help. One of my favourites is ProBlogger - http://www.problogger.net/

There is so much more that you will have to learn like keyword density, backlinking strategies and other white hat SEO techniques. You need to decide on a niche first but since you are already an affiliate of some products then try building a website for those products.
