I want to cut a image corner in round shape and make its edges a lil bit trasparent..how can i do it...should I use different layers for that.. Thanx in advance..
1. Open your image in Photoshop. 2. Press F7 and select the background. Right click and select "duplicate layer". 3. In that window select the new layer "Background copy". Go to Select Menu and select "All". 4. In that same Menu go to Modify > Smooth and put the radious of the corner you want. 5. Go to Select > Inverse. 6. Delete. Ctrl + D to deselect. 7. Press F7 again and delete the original background. 8. Save your pic as png format if you want transparency.
When i tried to follow your steps, i had a problem at step 4, i couldn't choose for Smooth in the list. I did some research and found that this was solved by doing: 1. Select All 2. Select>Modify>Border -- Choose 1 pixel 3. Select>Inverse (and at this point ALL the Select Modify options are available) 4. Select>Modify>Smooth(or any other options you need).
I can't put links in this forum yet but in my website there is a good tutorial about rounding corners. Go to Google and make a search for this: Pixelasitry Rounding Corners in Pictures. Bye.
Here is the tutorial about Round / Rounded Corners in Pics: Rounding Corners in Pictures with Photoshop. Hope this can help.
