This is how many people hit the landing page and go no deeper into your site... They 'bounce' away - which shows the SE's the site is less interesting to users.

    Hope that helps.

Bounce rate refers to the percentage of people who view only one page of your website before leaving. In other words, the visitor ‘bounces’ on and off your particular page. A high bounce rate indicates that your website needs to be fine tuned in terms of content, information and user friendliness. The ideal bounce rate should be between 20-25%. Also bounce rates can be determined by using Google Analytics.

Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance (landing) page. This entrance can be from any page on your site. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages are not relevant to your visitors.

Bounce rate depends on how long time visitors on your site and how depth they visited your page. Bounce rate should be low to get good traffic.

A bounce occurs when a web site visitor only views a single page on a website, that is, the visitor leaves a site without visiting any other pages before a specified session-timeout occurs. There is no industry standard minimum or maximum time by which a visitor must leave in order for a bounce to occur. Rather, this is determined by the session timeout of the analytics tracking software.

Bounce rate is a very important metric for website owners. It basically tells you what percentage of your visitors are “bouncing” away after landing on your site (e.g., they just visit one page and leave before clicking on to a second page inside your site). A bounce can occur for several reasons

A high bounce rate doesn't necessarily mean a bad site.

Everyone of your posts have been 'What is' rather than keep asking all these type of question which makes you look totally stupid use Google search.

Don't make it hard for yourself man, Google is the best source for it. Get information from the closest one before asking everyone's opinion.

Bounce rate for a certain page is calculated only when readers land on that page. If people clicked and navigated deeper in your website or just left. The thing is that the bounce rate is not taking into account readers that come from other pages of your website. So, a high bounce rate means that people that landed on a page didn’t clicked any link to navigate further

    hi,
Bounce rate is calculated as the visitor's time spent on the landing page and time spent in the deeper pages.Mainly Bounce rate is high is because of lack of quality and Content of the Site.

Your bounce rate is the rate of users who arrive and leave on the same page they entered on.
