    yesterday, my blog is on 5th page on google serp but today i found out that it's gone from serp. however, one of my articles URL is on 7th page for the same keyword. is it google dance or am i in the sandbox? fyi, my blog is only a week old.

    This always happens when a new website or blog is submitted to Google, its not rare to see a website hit number 1 before other "ranking" factors are taken into consideration and drop.

    thanks for all responses! i'm still at google dance now for the keyword i target. however, for other keyword i didn't target, my blog is on page 5. what do i do now beside updating the articles? should i build backlink or not?

    Keep doing what you were doing before - just don't throw a gazillion automated backlinks at it. It's definitely google dance, and your site should bounce back in 5-15 days.

    The best advice is to keep on doing what you've been doing. It's just Google Dance. Keep adding backlinks, adding fresh content. It'll keep climbing up in no time :)

    Your site is new and you would see it go up and down the SERPs more than a few times over the next months. Google is still weighing your site's value and relevance for the keywords its trying to rank for. It's rank will stabilize in 6 months to a year.

    Yes, you will see your ranking go up and down in the SERPs for the next 6 months or so. Your ranking will stabilize after 6 months of building the site. I suggest you continue building backlinks to the site and increase traffic to it too.
