Would you consider to place your image/text 100x60 ad to a new website offering to place advertisements on their first page for only $2(one time payment) for lifetime??? It is a an advertisement only website like classified advertising sites, but the difference is that all ads placed there will remain on the first page for lifetime. Can you please suggest me should I consider placing my ad on that site, would you consider placing such ads on this website????

The price indicated to me that it is probably not going to bring you any traffic, but again it is only $2.

I agree with this. It's cheap advertisement, but I might as well be donating $2 to the webmaster. Basically, I think people would be paying for the link back to their website.

You have to be careful with this, because it could very easily turn into a link farm which would actually scare away potential advertisers since Google hates link farms.

I'd say, limit the amount of links on the front page, work on increasing the PR and charge more.

Sorry, I thought you were thinking about starting a site like that.

Personally, I probably would not buy it. This sounds too much like a link farm and the search engines penalize sites like this. Even though it is only two dollars, I can't see any value in purchasing a link.

I agree with ArwenTaylor. It's not a good idea to even post for free on a link farm type site.

It may be a fake ad that just needs traffic from people like you.
    Please ignore it.!!

This is very good advice. I would avoid it to be honest. Your $2 could be better spent submitting an article to the isnare directory.

In internet marketing when something seems too good to be true, it usually is. Since the page is full of ads, you probably won't be receiving much traffic.

I also wouldn't buy ad from this kind of site, even though it's only 2 dollars. I prefer to pay someone to do social bookmarking or submit my article somewhere. It will give better return of investment when it comes to traffic and link value.

Its a cheap investment but one needs to consider the fact, if the site admin has plans to run it for a longer period or just a few traffic nil months.
And to expect traffic or link value would be a distant dream from such an site.

It would depend on the amount of visitors, and how targetted they are

I don't think that a site like this will benefit me because it's a link farm- so probably I won't purchase an ad of this type.
