Not always, I used a £25 facebook ad voucher I got and only got about 20 likes.

 

A competition normally does the trick, give something away and you should see some likes.

 

100% agreed all comments and i need some clarification, what is the model you are create the facebook page because if you increase fan page it defens upon the category, Example if you hvae entertainment category its also huge automatically suppose would you have business type, it difficult to make, but nothing it, if you have any kind business that time followed funny message with your business tactics and more

There is some way which we do not know but on ebay some companies sell 25000 likes in $ 280 and that also the increase fans in less then 12 hours.

 

It's really not safe on buying.

 

Well there are inexpensive ways to do this if you have few bucks to spear. A site called fiverr.com is where I use to get 100's of like to my facebook fan page for $5 and is well worth it. It always works for me.

but fiverr gigs are nice but they are generic and not targeted... so if your website is a niche, you wont get any traffic going to your site..

Well is a bit difficult with facebook ''suggest a friend option'' disabled.

What I normally do is outsource this task and let the experts to the job for me. Have you tried fiverr.com? Is a good platform of expertise that can deliver the task. But you need to be careful in there. Always go for the gigs that has testimonials from real buyers themselves.

The best way would be to ask fellow members in the page to promote your page or put links of your fb page on different forum and Q&A sites.
