    i think it's because google dominating people mindset about search engine.
    google also make inovative things like google earth, G-map, G translate, etc

    We are addicted with google only because of search engine. Google is really number one search engine and it changed the meaning of search engine. Just think if google shutdown there searchengine how much you feel uncomfortable to search at internet.. thats why we are addicted with google.

    Its like just asking why people addicted to facebook, although they are so many other social media sites.
    Well as Google is King of Search engines and we always found results and services on Google rather than any other search engine. Google not only providing a search engine services but also providing gmail, gdocs, adsence, affiliate programs and many others countless benefits and that is why we are addicted to Google.

    It's not all about "us"...it's more about "where" the bulk of websurfers go when they are searching for something. Stats will verify that more than 75% of surfers first choice is "G"...so, everyone uses it.

    I think it's much due to our desire to have everything at one place - at our instant disposal. Google provides us with search options, mail, maps, docs, analytics, alerts, a web browser, an app store, etc. and with the upcoming Gdrive they'll provide us with even more features.

    Guess, the clue to Google's success is that they're simple in usage and yet truly multifunctional. We're not addicts, we're just smart people)
