You obviously know nothing about any of them then. Take christianity - the ten commandments - the very first one, numero uno, on the list of forbidden things is to have a different god. They are inherently incompatible.
you don't honestly need to me to make a case against the claim that "every religion preaches humanity", do you? one word, islam. that's that done. Anyway, ssaxena07, how do you reconcile a belief in yahweh with a belief in vishnu when yahweh specifically forbids, as number one in his list of forbidden things, a belief in a god other than him?
Please note that it does forbid you to worship other gods, but does not deny their existence. Is there one spot in the bible where existence of other gods preached as a lie?
I am the LORD your God: you shall not have strange Gods before me. strange Gods = money, sex, power, etc. The Bible says in Matthew 6:24: "No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." Mammon is a name given to an idol worshiped as the god of riches.
LORD your God = Invisible man hiding behind the clouds that loves us so much, he created hell for all black sheep on earth.... oh and he loves money
The Church, with all the money they have previously acquired through whatever means, can help the less fortunate people without asking for more donations from its adherents. I won't be able to satisfy you with what you're asking Apoc but the way I see it -- Religion, and majority of its corrupt followers who do things in the name of their 'God' has made collecting donations from people, a wealthy business.
Which you haven't proved us that he exists either. If you claim that God exists, I say prove it. I can't disprove something that hasn't been proven, I can only refute the claims
The Bible forbids worship of any other god before (more than) YHWH. It doesn't forbid belief in many gods. (The Canaanites - the ones the Hebrews became - worshiped more than one god. Monotheism didn't come until long after.) That aside, I've never seen any objective evidence that any god has ever objectively existed, so I withhold judgement. (And no, the fact that a person can't conceive of how the universe could exist without a creator isn't evidence of any god, let alone any specific one.)
No doubt, every time i believe GOD. I star every work in the name of GOD. I also get success on all work. GOD help me to fulfill all good dreams.
yes! pedophiles, thieves, liars, and all kinds of people (you and I among them). but He does wish us to repent, turn from our sins and come to Him. Isn't that the greatest love? Trust in Jesus, the Lord!
Looking at the shit the world is in, I don't see much of the love.. For example, religious people on this board are the angriest, dishonest and liars.. Where is the love mate?
Christ himself suffered a great deal while he was on earth; If we don't suffer with him, then we won't reign with him, as the Bible says: "if we endure, we will also reign with him"
Which still doesn't answer my question. If God had the greatest love of all, why did he let his own son suffered at the hands of his mere creations? When Jesus died, didn't he retaliated by "shaking the earth" (i.e. earthquakes, lightnings, etc...)? Why did he do that? Was it because he got angry so bad and forgot that he was an all-loving God for 10 minutes?
